Famous Danish director Thomas Vinterberg (Jagten, Festen) and star actor Mads Mikkelsen have been reunited again since the masterpiece Jagten, for the award-winning new comedy drama Druk. There is a theory that a modest amount of alcohol in our blood has a mind-altering effect, reduces our problems and increases our creativity. Supported by this theory, Martin and his three high school teacher colleagues embark on an experiment in which they maintain a constant and measured level of alcohol in their system throughout the day. The first results are very positive, the jaded teachers come back to life and even the results of their classes improve. While the glasses are being downed at a rapid pace, some find it increasingly difficult to maintain control of the situation and the experiment proves to have greater consequences than expected.
