23-year-old Rakel is shocked to find out she is already six month pregnant after a not-so-romantic one-night-stand. Her boyfriend, who’s not the father, is kind of ok with her having a baby. But Rakel is absolutely not ready to be a mother and abortion is no longer an option, so she decides to give the child up for adoption. That is when an animated ninjababy jumps out of her notebook - telling Rakel what a bad person she is and turning her life into a living hell. Based on the prize-winning graphic novel ‘Fallteknikk’ by Inga Sætre, this coming-of-age comedy tells the entertaining story of a young woman who had a lot of other big life plans that did not include becoming a mother. With Ninjababy, director Yngvild Sve Flikke (Women In Oversized Men Shirts) wanted to make ‘a film as crazy as life can be’. That worked out quite well!
