Green Tales of the City

We don't need to take anti-depressants just yet when it comes to saving our planet. With this film, Dutch documentary maker Gwen Jansen provides an optimistic glimpse into the sustainability movement in our country. This is rapidly gaining strength and scale. The backdrop is formed by five cities that are committed to increasing the sustainability and liveability of their city. There are various projects in the Green Capital Nijmegen, but also in Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Finally, our own city Leeuwarden is featured extensively with the Elfwegentocht project. As a viewer, you follow the inside stories of exceptionally inspired and driven people, who have all started great, innovative projects to positively activate as many other Dutch people as possible to live in a more environmentally conscious way. In this inspiring documentary, we see 'on the job' how they try to do this, which partnerships they seek and which big challenges they sometimes face.
