Omschrijving
Danish star architect Bjarke Ingels makes the impossible possible. With his team, he aims to create the world's cleanest waste-to-energy plant - with an artificial ski slope on the roof as the icing on the cake. CopenHill is a megalomaniac complex in which Bjarke Ingels Group impressively connects recreation and industry - two worlds that normally lay far apart. According to Ingels, a city as a man-made ecosystem is the future. The CopenHill project is the snowball that should start this movement. But its realization is not without a struggle. A documentary by directors Rikke Selin Fokdal & Kaspar Astrup Schröder about a miraculous project with a persistent client and a dreaming architect.
This film is presented in collaboration with Attiek, the discussion platform for architecture, urban planning, space and greenery in Leeuwarden. Bart Cilissen of Achterbosch Architecten provides an introduction on Saturday. He is a member of Attiek and architect of the Knowledge Center on the Energy Campus. This introduction will be in Dutch.
