Theatre maker Karlijn Kistemaker is under the spell of a personal quest; a twelve-part theatrical translation of 'Hundred Years of Solitude', one of the most widely read books in the world. Her great-uncle Kees was the first Dutch translator of this book and left the royalties to Karlijn. She uses them to discover the hidden meaning of the book, together with her companions. A journey through a magical realistic world she has been on for nine years now. In this filmed finale, a unique longtake that can easily be watched without having seen the previous parts, she ends up at an awards ceremony that knocks her off her feet. She loses the book and gets lost in her own story. Then she receives a postcard that leads her to the caravan in which Kees translated the book.
